/u/TommyHankster on Land Rover Defender Reliabilit

We have had ours (P400S – 110 – 2022 / MY2023) for about 6 months now. It has 6000km on the odometer and 5000 of it was done on a single road trip accross a part of Australia. We have had no issues so far. Not any mechanical or electronics related ones. We have not done any off-roading. Those issues that arose for the youtubers weren’t during off-roading anyway. I can say there are some details that could be annoying for people who are very careful about the details. Very minor ones for many people though. One example is that one of the checker plate look alikes on the engine hood came loose at one corner and i had to push it back into its place. I heard a click sound and it was in place. I believe these show the design and manufacturing were rushed. To be honest, whenever i think about going to outback and Land Cruiser at the same time, i feel i might not have made the best choise although our car has done great so far. Then i try not to think about either land cruiser or outback. (We saw Toyota service stations almost every second small city while traveling. I think this is also important)
